Every October the BID hosts this popular spook-tacular with a procession down Pitkin Avenue of classic cars, stilt walkers, marching bands, and dance troupes. The parade culminates with the Harvest Festival at Pitkin Plaza featuring live music, pumpkin giveaways, arts and crafts, and cooking demos.
Brownsville residents brave the cold every December to ring in the winter holiday season at the Pitkin Avenue Tree Lighting in Zion Triangle with live music, caroling, hot cocoa, cupcakes and a special appearance by Santa Claus.
Pitkin Avenue celebrates Spring with a parade down Pitkin Avenue that culminates at Brownsville’s historic Betsy Head Park with the Great Egg Hunt featuring live music, games, arts and crafts, and cookout by Truck’d Out.
